Bit chilly

On days like this, I wish I had an enclosed, heated potting shed but the carport and ute work well. I love planting out the babies: Acacia deanei and Acacia pendula ready to grow up and look good in your garden.

Only 240 more to pot out this weekend 🙂

Native planting mix

Our first load of native planting mix has arrived.

We only use the highest quality, Australian Standards approved soil mix from Martin’s Fertilizers in Yass. This has gypsum to break clay, trace elements, soil wetting agent, water crystals, and long-lasting time-release native nutrients.

We’ll be stocking and selling these bags soon, but for now, this load is for our first batch of potting out young natives.

From 2019 our bulk soil will arrive via tipper truck into a specially-built holding bin, much easier to manage and less waste.

Grevillea rosmarinifolia

Grevillea rosmarinifolia planted out last year and just coming into flower now, always a pretty flower in winter.
